Technical information about our production composite
Our composite range comes from our production. The properties depend on the chosen product, profile, and installation – therefore, we specify the scope and basis for each piece of information.
Material and properties
Composite (WPC) consists of wood fibers and plastic formed into profiles. The range includes both solid profiles and hollow profiles. Solid profiles are heavier; hollow profiles are lighter and have different requirements for sub-structure and finishing.
The surface can be embossed or brushed, and certain profiles have a protective layer. Composition and surface differ between series, so information for one series does not automatically apply to another.
Composite is not self-supporting. The correct sub-construction and joist spacing according to the installation instructions for the chosen profile are required.
Why choose composite from Compfence?
Wood-plastic composite is a modern, eco-friendly wood material that is 100% recyclable. It is made from a blend of wood and plastic, with additives that protect against the elements – including UV protection, pigment, binders and stabilisers.
The products are weatherproof, need no oiling or painting, do not flake and have an anti-slip surface that keeps them safe even in wet weather. That means easier maintenance and safer use of decks, fences and facades.
Long-term durability and quality have been verified by testing at a technical university, according to international standards for wood-plastic composites.

Technical data
Material data from our production (basis version retrieved 2026-10-09 ). The values are not established for each individual profile and are not design values.
| Property | Value | Testing standard | What does this mean? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Density | 1 380 kg/m³ | Not specified in the documentation | Material weight per volume. |
| Flexural strength | 44,02 MPa | ISO 16616:2015(E) | How much bending load the material can withstand before breaking during testing. |
| Elasticitetsmodul | 5 054,78 MPa | EVS-EN 15534-1:2014 | How stiff the material is – a higher value results in less deflection. |
| Impact strength | 20,46 kJ/m² | EVS-EN ISO 179-1 | Resistance to impact during testing. |
| Water absorption after 28 days | 2,46 % | EVS-EN 317:2000 | How much water the sample absorbs. |
| Swelling after 28 days | 0,54 % | EVS-EN 15534-1:2014 | How much the sample swells in water. |
| Thermal expansion | 0,04 % | EVS-EN 479:2003 | Dimensional change under heat. Test conditions are not specified in the source; use the joint dimensions from the installation instructions. |
| Color change after 2,000 h UV (ΔE) | 2,2 | EVS-EN 15534-1:2014 | Measured color change in testing. Not a guarantee for future color. |
The documentation is general for the material and has not yet been reviewed or tested against our production documentation. Therefore, values cannot be linked to a specific profile or used for structural engineering.
Quality and environment
Our production has management systems certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
ISO 9001:2015 – quality
Quality management system. Covers development, manufacturing and sales of composite boards for terraces, gardens and facades.
ISO 14001:2015 – environment
Environmental management system. Covers development, manufacturing and sales of composite boards for terraces, gardens and facades.
The certificates apply to the production management system, not the performance of individual products. They do not apply to our bin stores, recycling sheds, terrace feet, or aluminum parts.
Testing and fire
The documentation states fire classes for decking and fencing/cladding respectively. We do not display fire classes until the full classification report, tested profile, and installation method have been reviewed. If you require a fire class for a project, request project assistance .
Installation and movement
Composite expands and contracts with temperature and moisture. Joints, joist spacing, ventilation, and drainage must follow the installation instructions for the selected profile and sub-structure. Table values above do not replace the instructions.
Documents
Installation guides in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and English are being reviewed and will be published here once profile linking and technical review are complete. Until then, we will send the correct instructions for your profile – contact us .
